Working with Death Hag

The Death Hag's spiritual nature is highly compatible with flame and fire and you can talk to Death Hag whilst adding a small pinch of her potion into a candle flame or sprinkling her potion around the base of a candle.

The Death Hag presence or stream both tend to manifest as formidable. Not a lets serve 'tea and biscuits' magickal stream and yet the very dialogue can be laid out in kind. This Hag offers unforgettable communion should she wish to be respond to your call. The beauty of this Great Hag beggars belief. For so long she has been shunned and misaligned by the patriarchy, and yet she remains completely untouched by the discourses of men. As always, respect is always warranted and welcomed as a preliminary to any discussion with a respected Elder. This Hag demands it - get a cushion for your knees.

Death Hag, please Mother, I ask you awaken me to the teachings of your path cloaked in shadows. Please consider me to be taught of your wisdom and sacred path (if seriously considering putting yourself forward for core alignment work with this Hag expect a few trials/initiations before you even get to submit your magickal resume. The Death Hag path may have been shunned for a while but she isn’t desperate in the recruitment department. This path, like all others, is earned).

Death Hag, please Mother, I ask your dark healing stream to wash me of my denial to accept endings, retreat and death. Forgive me Mother for I continue to stand before you bereaved. I beg for your blessed healing to restore me in the correct flow and grace with all cycles (in the event that there is a dysfunctional theme with death and dying issues, such as an accumulation of grief and the inability to assimilate this grief, given the correct support and time considerations, then there is cause to request healing from this Hag’s stream).

Death Hag, please Mother, I ask you guide my "named" (loved one) in their time of passing, protect them, love them and guide them safely to their ancestors embrace (set up and altar, offer the Mother this sacred space, light and tend to the candle, and with respect ask her assistance with the passing of your loved one, this can be done during the last stages of life, at death, a few days after death, a sacred magickal working with the Hag).

Harnessing a magickal quality

The potion may also be carried on ones person for daily assistance, in the event of ally or core alignment work. Transfer from potion bottle to smaller vial for ease.

As always it is the intention, clarity of request and personal power that produces the strongest magickal effect. For daily assistance it would be best advised, for those new to magick, to spend time pursuing your connection to your own metaphysical companions or making alliances to the presences that sponsor these potions. It is with these connections that stronger magickal protective links and manifestations can be made.
