 Spirit food offerings or “feeding the Gods” has a history in both witchcraft and the Vodou tradition. To feed the spirits and ancestors is an honorable way to start any ritual and build a connection with the spiritual presences that you wish to invite into your life. The Child of Bones food packets are prepared in order to make the modern witch’s life more convenient should you not have a pantry over stocked with exotic delights!
The collection contains foods such as raw chocolate, chilies, coffee, flowers, super foods, fragrant petals, essential oils, herbs, tobacco, berries, corn, sweets (to name a few) and all sprinkled lovingly with whiskey and/or rum.
Each packet of the spirit food’s content is chosen specifically with the named deity’s preferences. The packets hold enough ritual offerings for up to 3 rites.
Each packet is contained in a Mojo bag which has been beautifully crafted to hold sacred herbs or precious ritual items on your altar. All our Rattles and Mojo bags are handcrafted in the Peruvian jungle, each item being carefully hand dyed with jungle fauna, hand carved and or painted with the 'cosmo vision' design of the sacred plant spirit Ayahuasca. Each Mojo bags bead work contains a special seed called Huayruro which is famed throughout South America for its qualities of bestowing protection and luck. Our rattles are made from a large seed that is filled with special seeds believed by the Shipibo tribe to offer protection when we call out to the spirits.
To feed the spirits in a ritual offer a third of the food and light a tea light candle as an offering to the spiritual presence you wish to connect with. You may also use a rattle (to call for the spirit’s attention). When the candle has burned down the spirit feast is complete!
Offer the foods back to the earth in a sacred manner.
