Interview:

Tracy FriendTell us about your work Tracy.

I am the co-founder of the Law of Attraction Centre which is dedicated to teaching the practical application of the Law of Attraction through events, free online meditations, coaching and books/audios.

What methods of positive change do you offer your clients and why are these helpful?

I offer practical methods to help clients change their thinking to create the life they want. When they do their best to practice the techniques that change their thinking, they feel happier and more of what they want starts to come into their lives.

How would you describe the most rewarding aspects of your work?

I find it incredibly rewarding when people discover that they have the ability to create what they want in their lives, irrespective of how long things might have been a certain way for them.

What is the most important practise you LIVE everyday for balance and wellbeing?

I couldn’t really isolate one practice as I find that the three different key types of Law of Attraction exercises complement each other. These three types which I practice every day are: meditation, making the best of my current experience and focusing. I find that doing all three of these practices assists me in feeling more relaxed, enjoying my current life more and having a positive view of the future.

What are the benefits of practising alone or in group?

Whilst I do find as seems to be commonly known about spiritual practice, that there can be an enhanced energy of practising as a group, I feel that that the greatest benefit is in having a regular daily practice even if someone is doing this practice on their own. I tend to view my daily practice by myself as my core practice and when I have the chance to practice with a group I see that as an opportunity for an added ‘boost’ of positive momentum. Also, in a group situation I often receive inspiration hearing about how the Law of Attraction is working for other people.

Can you share any top tips that you believe bring positive effective change?

I believe that a key factor for bringing positive change is sticking with a practice. As the Law of Attraction says that virtually all creation is finished before we see any physical evidence, so often we can be well on our way to manifesting what we want even though there are no tangible changes in our life. I have seen that when people maintain their practice in spite of the absence of physical evidence that then things will always positively transform for them.

Can you share a particular highlight from your work?

For quite a while I thought that I would love to have an extended trip to Bali and to be able to do some groups and workshops whilst there as I found it a country that is beautiful in so many ways and in which spirituality feels so alive. I put the Law of Attraction exercises into practice to focus on this and I was very fortunate that I was able to do that last year.

Article:
Self-Appreciation and the Law of Attraction, by Tracy Friend

“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love & affection.” Buddha

Believe, love, dreamThe Law of Attraction explains that there is really nothing more important than feeling good about yourself as when you are feeling good about yourself, your energy is in alignment with who you really are and you are in a mode of positively attracting.

It can be reassuring to know that according to
the Law of Attraction everyone’s natural state is one
of self-appreciation. The only thing that gets in the way of self-appreciation is contradictory thinking and all thoughts can be changed.

A lot has been said about the importance of self-appreciation and what is great about the Law of Attraction is that it gives practical methods to help people increase their appreciation of themselves.

People can sometimes feel that self-appreciation is complicated and that they need to figure out why they feel a certain way and how the feeling got started however according to the Law of Attraction the more someone focuses on any challenges the more they will add energy to them. Rather the solution is to activate what is wanted and to make that more practiced.

heartThe best way to increase self-appreciation is for people to focus on their good qualities and things they do like about themselves, and as they do so, they will naturally begin to appreciate themselves more, to make what they do want more dominant in their point of attraction and to attract more good things to themselves. Then, over time if a particular challenge comes up their mind will begin to more naturally go to better feeling thoughts.

It very beneficial to make a written list of everything that you like about yourself. You could include on your list your own unique qualities, skills and talents and any positive contributions you’ve made. You may also wish to appreciate how far you’ve come on your journey and things that you have learned. To begin with spending around ten minutes listing your own good qualities will shift how you feel about yourself, as positive thinking is significantly more powerful than contradictory thinking. Also, as the Law of Attraction not only attracts similar experiences but also thoughts, the more you practice thinking positively about yourself, the easier it will get.

It is helpful to practice self-appreciation regularly, ideally on a daily basis. Some people like to have a journal that they use just for doing their lists of self-appreciation. When doing the list it is best to do it from scratch rather than copying what you wrote on a previous occasion as the power is in actually thinking of the things. It doesn’t matter however if 80-90% of what you write does end up being the same as on the previous occasion.

Another way to increase self-appreciation is to remember previous times when you have particularly appreciated yourself as this will begin to shift your point of attraction even more. Self-appreciation is also increased by paying more attention to and following your own unique guidance as everyone’s guidance will guide them to things that are best for them and things that will make them the happiest.
